3 3/8 X 4 3/4 Inch Political Paper Campaign Booklet "Lyndon Johnson For United States Senator". In 1941 Congressman Lyndon Johnson had the support of President Franklin Roosevelt in a hotly contested Democratic primary for the United States Senate. Despite the President's support, Johnson wound up losing. In 1948, he was elected to the Senate and the rest is history. Booklet is a bout 18 pages thick. Tells a little about his past education war record , career and service in Congress. It also gives his position on things like flood control, rural electrification and farm roads. Item is in very good condition. Buyer will pay $3.50 for shipping.
