Up for sale is a vintage 1948 Hudson promo model acquired directly from a former Hudson dealership in Center City, MN. These models were handmade by Hudson for use as promotional displays in their dealerships and hold historic significance by featuring Hudson's new "Stepdown " design for 1948. I understand that these models are fairly rare and were made in limited quantities for this specific purpose. Overall this model is in excellent condition, especially when you consider that it is over 60 years old. The color is rich and vibrant with very little wear to the surface though it could use a cleaning (I believe this is best left for a collector or professional) . The silver paint on the trim is still very clean and bright. The clear plastic of the windows show very slight wear and they are still completely transparent. Under the body, the red frame shows some fading on the passenger side but is still solid in structure. One brace to the firewall is missing on the driver side under the removable front end and there is a small crack at the very back of the passenger side rocker panel (as shown in pictures). The only real issue with this model is the driver side front wheel, which is not secured to the axle and is missing it's wheel cover.
