The watch is in very nice condition and amazingly dates back to 1949. The watch is fully working and keeping time on its original high grade 21j movement and is fully signed by BULOVA on the Case, Crown, Dial and Movement. It comes complete with genuine leather croco grain band. This model was named as The "Treasure" by Bulova and was also made in rose with a copper dial and in silver with a black dial. The original Bulova signed case is a beauty. It is round with rare bottle top scalloped design around the top and smooth flat sides. The long curved lugs are also smooth and have a wonderful sweeping design. The whole piece including the back is a rich 10k gold fill and it is showing very little use. It has a deep gold shine, almost rose in colour. The back has a nice dipping groove running around the edge creating a raised centre. It is fully signed by Bulova inside and out along with Bulova's date code for 1949. The case measures 39mm x 31mm. The Bulova signed dial is in nice, original condition. It is a true piepan design with a bevelled edge. It is silver with a vintage golden hue. It has a black outer minute chapter and a set of fancy raised gold numbers at the hour positions. The 6 position holds a round deep set sub second dial with its own black markers. The hands are in an index style. It shows a bit of speck and age hue, seen more at certain angles (see photos) but for an original it only adds to the vintage look. The domed acrylic crystal is also in good condition . The watch is powered by its original Bulova signed 21j High grade 10bc movement which is fully functional and keeping good time having been serviced in 03/2011. This movement was reserved for the highest grade Bulovas and is one of the best ever produced. Many thanks for taking the time to view our items. This watch is really striking and sure to please.
