!!!!! PREMIUM QUALITY THAT IS SO EASY TO SEE !!!!! This week I am listing a fabulous group of freshly graded PCGS proofs. A bunch of them have one thing in common...they are cameo coins without that word on the tag that raises the price very commonly by 250% to 500% and sometimes even more!!! Many of you have heard me talking about the fact that PCGS and NGC have tightened up so much on their cameo grading. They are always trying to split the very fine hairs at that imaginary borderline between cameo and non-cameo and of course between one numerical grade and the next higher grade!! When they err, it is always on the ultra conservative side, and in my professional opinion they are currently making a lot of those errors. This coin will make that point about threading the needle. It misses only on the backside by a hair’s breadth!! !!!!! EXCELLENT CAMEO CONTRAST !!!!! THIS 1950 JEFFERSON WITH STRONGLY FROSTED DEVICES SET AGAINST DEEPLY MIRRORED FIELDS IS SCARCE, BEAUTIFUL, AND VERY DESIRABLE!!!!! THE CAMEO CONTRAST IS A JOY TO BEHOLD!!! The frost on the devices is wonderful and creates a very nice contrast!! With slightly stronger frost, this coin costs $250+!! This is the very definition of “premium quality”!!! IT IS ONE FABULOUS 1950 JEFFERSON PROOF…A GREAT COIN WHICH, NEEDLESS TO SAY, BELONGS IN ONE SUPERB SET OF PROOF JEFFERSONS.
