Hello Everyone! We purchased a huge quantity of VERY OLD antique dolls at an estate sale this weekend. First let us tell you that we know very little about dolls so we will be listing most of these at $9.99 so these should be fun auctions! All of these auctions will be sold AS-IS with NO RETURNS so please make sure to ask questions BEFORE bidding! We are happy to combine shipping and you can save lots of money that way. We will calculate your postage and send you an updated invoice. This is a 12 inch German boy doll made of cloth and hard stuffed with what feels like maybe sawdust or straw. The boy's face is some type of molded fabric with beautifully painted features. He is wearing a traditional pair of Lederhosen which have embroidered details of edelweiss and leaves. He is also wearing a felt Bavarian hat and has brown mohair hair. The original owner's handwritten note is stapled to the edge of his pants and reads "Deutschland Russ.Zone 1950" I believe that refers to Germany in the Russian Zone. The boy's face and legs are discolored due to age and you can see it in the picture where his shorts and his socks meet his legs.
