Oaktree-Collectibles "Simply the Finest" Offered is a Fabulous 3-Piece Teacup Set made by Royal Albert (Staffordshire) England, circa 1950s. The set features bright spring flowers in shades of yellow and purple with green foliage. The pieces have one large floral spray with smaller ones to the sides of the plate, back of the teacup and inside the cup. The footed cup is in the Montrose shape and the plates are in the Hampton shape. The teacup is trimmed at the top, the foot and on the handle with gold gilt as are the plate rims. The set includes the footed teacup, saucer and tea or dessert plate. The teacup measures 3” in diameter and stands 2-3/4” tall to the rim of the cup with the handle being taller. The saucer measures 6-1/4” in diameter and the dessert or tea plate measures 7” in diameter. All the pieces are in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. T is no age related crazing and almost no wear to gilding. The back has the Royal Albert printed trade mark introduced after the World War II and used upwards into the1960s. In 1970, all connection to the founders T.C. Wild & Sons was dropped with the renaming the company as Royal Albert Limited.
