Vintage Vogue Strung Ginny Crib Crowd "Sally" 1949-50 Hard Plastic Bent Leg 8" Baby with Original Outfit & Lots of Vogue Accessories in Trunk ~ Adorable Transitional Sleep Eye, High Coloring, Original Early FACTORY Vogue Wig with Original Attached Bow ~ We are offering an adorable and early transitional hard plastic (marked on her back Vogue Dolls) Vintage Vogue Strung Ginny CRIB CROWD doll named "Sally" from 1949-50 that comes to you with her tagged dress, original & rare (not replacements) rubber pants & lots of accessories including a very rare marked Vogue soap too all in the circular trunk . She has been lovingly owned but well taken care of and is ready to find a new home. You are bidding on everything shown in the photos. According to the reference book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls" by Izen/Stover you can see Sally in the painted eye version on page 71 of the 2nd Ed, purple cover. This is an authentic tagged and documented outfit that came on the painted eye as well as the early transitional dolls with the skull cap synthetic wig; these were the early dolls before they used the lambs wool wigs. She has been restrung but other than that there are no redo's or alterations . She has no splits or cracks. In the photos you can see a line (seam line) on the bottom of her feet. There are no cracks or splits; this is how they were made and the seam is alittle more visible when photographed . She has what most refer to as the rootbeer eyes that do need assistance to open and close which is common, visible lashes and brows in the typical coloring for this era doll (more visible in person) and high original cheek coloring with no repaints. Her original wig is factory (not a replacement!), a medium blonde with lots of waves and curls . We don't see any obvious glue residue which sometimes is visible on these early dolls wigs. Hair is thick and full with no bald spots. Her original blue bow that is factory attached to her wig has faded slightly . Sally wears a beautiful blue crib crowd tagged dress with attached slip in excellent condition and the elusive, and original to this era doll, white rubber pants ; usually missing. The elastic at the waist and legs has relaxed which is common and there is an ever so tiny opening at the crotch of the rubber pants if you spread the pants apart and look for it; no stains on the rubber pants. She has her original blue oil cloth leather tie shoes which completes her outfit. Also included are some vintage Vogue accessories; terry bath towel with hood, terry towel and wash cloth with tulle trim, flannel robe, clothes pins, rubber bow slippers, oil cloth pompom slippers (show alittle wear) and one of the hardest to find accessories; a marked Vogue bar of bath soap which was included in the crib crowd trunk sets Vogue issued. All items are in very good to excellent condition; the towel and wash cloth and blue rubber slippers alittle dingy so you may want to clean them. Sally will come to you in the vintage yellow trunk with all her accessories as shown so please take a look at all her photos. An adorable and complete Crib Crowd named "Sally" that is documented in the reference books with lots of Vogue accessories for you to enjoy.
