A super vase from a popular and collectible range designed by Colin Melbourne/ Albert Hallam for Beswick and produced in the 1950's. The range featured freeform shaped vases and dishes decorated in a variety of patterns and were considered very radical in their time. This is a double necked vase decorated in a handpainted pattern in black with turquoise green . It measures approximately 7" (18cm) at its tallest and is stamped "Beswick England Registration Applied For" on the base together with the impressed mould number 1457. In very good condition with no chips or crazing. There is a hairline running from the rim which can be felt but not really seen on the larger part of the vase, which as you cans see has little effect on its overall apperance.
