A circa 1950s period decorative hand made glazed earthenware vase, with an almost 'lustre like' exterior, measuring about 4.75 inches high overall by almost 3.5 inches diameter at the rim, 4.25 inches at the widest part of the body, 2.25 inches at the base, including the incised marks for C. D. Nowell of Prestbury in Cheshire, as shown - in good condition, with just some minor age-related signs of wear and the inevitable crazing, as expected, plus a tiny glaze chip to the base, but not detracting.
