Auctioning now, an Eames Era ,1950s' production , versatile table lamp , with fiberglass shades on brass flexible gooseneck stalks in typical 50s' Eames fashion. This design was to exhibit a modernist approach to lighting and at the same time to make a statement regarding the ongoing attitude of the post- worldwar II America and the arrival of the Space Age , going on across the country , this futurist view of every day life encouraged independent designers and stylists to cut loose with imagination and flair, introducing advanced unusual ideas and using then exotic materials to make them. The lamp is in good condition and working , the fiberglass shades are in very good condition. Overall height is about 24 inches.
