Vintage 1950's Fishing Polar Bear battery-operated toy, made by the Alps Co. in Japan. This toy is in very good condition and works great. The fur, clothing, fishing pole, and metal fish are all in very good condition. The metal base, detachable metal pond, and lithographing are all in excellent condition. The battery compartment is clean and in excellent condition. The bear come with 2 fish, and there is no box. This toy measures 10 inches high and has six actions, including both eyes lighting up, the head moving up and down, both arms moving up and down, the bear making a cackling sound (hard to describe), and the magnetic end of the fishing pole or magnetic hand of the bear catching the fish and then dropping it into the pond. I tried to take pictures while it was fishing so you could see the different motions. This classic battery-operated toy displays and works beautifully and would make a great addition to your toy collection. Shipping will be $12 to the USA.
