vintage 1951 USN G-1 leather Flight Jacket, Intermediate, Spec. Mil-J-7823 (Aer.)--Korean War period with dark brown textured goatskin leather outer shell/fleece collar/knitted wool cuffs and back elastic/black satin cotton lining--'USN" stenciled under the back of the collar/no perforations on the zipper windflap--larger size 44--measures: shoulder points: 18" across chest, bottom of arms: 21" top of collar down back: 27 1/2" top of arm: 26" arm inseam: 18". the leather is in amazing condition though has a few nicks and scuffs especially on the arms--otherwise this has these points of wear: the top of the inner lining is torn straight across above the label/there is one small hole in the lining/there is rub wear on the fur collar at the neck line: otherwise wear to this jacket is rather light----there is light fraying/seam separation to both cuffs at the bottom of the seam--the back knitting is very nice as is the old YKK zipper which still works just fine.
