This impressionist inspired street scene you are about to bid on is a 1950's original oil on canvas by the talented French/American artist, Elizabeth Barre (20th Century) . The viewer is whisked away to a pillared street of Parisian shops on a sunny autumn afternoon. A tree branches outward from the upper right in the immediate foreground. Thick, impasto strokes of paint form the illuminated building in the background. Combining these loose brush strokes with the saturated palette, Barre has created an undeniably genial rendering of a Parisian street corner. Barre is a true modern impressionist master and we're proud to offer her work to our eBay customers on this No Reserve Auction! This delightful painting is one of the rare gems that can enliven any space! The image is signed in the lower left by the artist. It measures 8" x 10" and 10" x 12" in a gold custom made frame that perfectly complements the artwork, as always provided free of charge to our clients.
