Offered here is an original set of 6 Pennsylvania Railroad in the original box with original mailing postage stamps & Pittsburgh PA cancellation. Even the original address label is there which shows it was sent from PA RR office of Passenger Manager "Dining Car Service" in Pennsylvania Station, Pittsburgh. The 20 cent Monticello stamp dates to 1953 & the 1 cent Washington dates to 1954. The original shipping box measures 13" x 10" x 5 1/2" & will be shipped to the winner inside another box so as to protect it since it is now a rare collectible. Each glass measures 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" diameter. The Pennsylvania railroad GG1 electric locomotive with passenger train glass was used in the northeast corridor & as noted on the box, these glasses are the same as were actually used in the dining cars. It has the skylines of Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. DATES TO CIRCA THE MID 1950's. These came from the estate of a retired Cleveland area shipping clerk, who received these as a gift from the RR. See my other auctions for another set from the same collection!
