Beautiful pair of salt & pepper shakers from the 1950's. Good ACL on these bottles. The lids do show wear.C.L. Grigg and Edmund Ridgway (my great grandfather), founded the Howdy Company in 1927 which eventually became the 7up Company in 1929. A third partner, Mr. Gladney, was brought in later. My grandfather Howard Ridgway served as Chairman of the Board until his retirement and my father was instrumental in the development of the international division of 7up. 7up remained family owned until 1979 when it was purchased by the Philip Morris Corporation. It remained headquartered in St. Louis until that time.I have maintained an extensive collection, some items still new in the box, some items used, some prototypes that never reached the market and items that are truly one of a kind. I hope that you will enjoy these items as I have over the years. Please know that I am not an expert on all things 7up. Those that are the true experts are no longer with us and missed dearly. I will do my best to represent the condition of each item. Remember that the majority of my items are at least 40 years old. Please refer to the pictures and if you have questions, ask before bidding.
