For sale is a very nice and very cool Vintage 1950s Schuco 1001 wind-up car. A key will also be included. This car is in great condition and from an era when many toys didn't need batteries to operate. I apologize for the darker photos. I didn't use my camera's flash because I wanted to accurately depict the dark blue color of the car. Please feel free to request additional photos with the flash if would like. The bottom of the car says, " Schuco PATENT, MADE IN U.S. ZONE GERMANY 1001". Condition: Very clean and in excellent condition. The bottom of the car has scratches. The wheels are still shiny and in great shape. There is a rubber strip on the back left tire and on a wheel in the middle of the bottom of the car. These rubber strips look to be in great shape. Nothing on this car appears to be broken or missing. The car winds up great and goes fast. When it gets to the edge of a table it will automatically turn itself to avoid going off the table. Very cool mechanism. The paint appears a little wavy in some places. I don't know if that is due to age or just how it was originally painted. There are some areas where the paint has some small chips. This car would be an excellent display piece or make a great gift for a collector.
