I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa late 1940s to early 50s - not a replica - but an original - BOX ONLY - for a TN Made in Japan Friction Operated AIRCRAFT CARRIER toy. The sale is soley for the box - I do not have the toy. The box is in basically perfect condition - the graphics are simply superb and its in overall fantastic shape. Its super clean with no damages - any wear is negligible. The box measures approx 12-1/4" long x 4-1/8" wide. The winning bidder will be most pleased - this is a top not example! The toy was made in Japan in the 1950s by Nomura Toys whose trademark was the initials T.N. From the end of the Second World War until 1952 Japan was occupied by the Allied Forces, which were mainly American, and this had an enormous on its pop culture. I did a google search for toy boxes and was stunned at the asking price for replica boxes.I did not find this exact example - but for a box for a Marx - battery operated aircraft carrier - they wanted $300 - for a remake - not even an original. The box that I am selling is an original and I am selling with no reserve - high bidder wins!
