From a prominent collection in the Northeast, this week I am pleased to offer this rare and beautiful original VINTAGE 8x10-inch black and white singleweight gelatin silver photographic print of legendary physique model GLENN BISHOP shown in my scan. This print was made in the mid-1950s. A passionate fan of Bishop's, this collector spent a great amount of time and money tracking down the owner of the largest group of Bishop and Alan material available, and the prints I'm offering this week were all part of that collection. It's likely these images originally were shot by Cliff Oettinger, who did a great deal of work with Bishop and who might have shot these poses for the duo for a fee (or perhaps as a favor, since the photographer had made so much money off his images of Bishop). It's also possible some of the images I'm offering this week originally were shot by RICHARD ALAN , who became a proficient photographer during the years he was training with and was in business with Bishop.Regardless, this is a rare opportunity to own a rare vintage print that undoubtedly will increase in value over time. This print is in VERY GOOD condition, with only minor light crackle creases at the edges.
