One of three pieces of vintage rattan on auction, also a loveseat and chair, all matching. This is the large one piece couch., it and the set date to the early 1950's possibly the 1940's. Made in the islands, old growth bamboo with reed strapping. These are not Walmart China specials made last year.All pieces are very solid and sturdy with some reed missing in a couple areas. Construction is glued, screwed and dowelled along with the reed. Conditon is overall very good.Chair cushions are cotton, new material in a flower motif, beaded edging, pattern and bead all sides, zippered with batting and foam. All cushions in the set are recently recovered professionally. Cushions with zippers, all pieces over $1000.00 to recover just spent recently on all three pieces.. Fabric has no stains, rips, smells, it is like new.Couch measures overall 72 inches wide, 15 to seat with cushion on, 28 to top of back, and agaist a wall is 35 inches deep to front edge..
