1951 ESTEY PORTABLE PUMP ORGAN âe" This is an Estey Organ Company golden oak portable organ serial # 500256 which appears to date to 1951. It was originally sold by the Jenkins Music Company in Kansas City , Missouri as the original label bears witness. This organ came with its original Estey factory serial number tag which matches the serial number label inside the organ. This is something you donâe(tm)t see very often as they were almost always removed by the owner. I cleaned it up and put new leather flap valves on it because the originals were shot. It is made of golden oak veneered plywood and has some veneer problems and t, some minor plywood warping and so on. These things got carried around, put in basements and all manner of hostile climate so the cases do suffer. One of the metal corners is missing as you can see in one of the photos. To my eye, it looks real nice and Iâe~ve seen them a lot worse. It sets up and takes down well and is not falling apart by any means. The keyboard and reed board are very nice indeed. All the reeds are present and accounted for, front read more
