Up for your consideration is this RCA J-2 45 rpm changer. Built during the 48th week of 1951, this attachment unit doesn't have a amplifier or speaker; rather, it was designed to play records through a radio equipped with a phono input. This J-2 has been completely restored and is now ready to provide true high fidelity sound when attached to the magnetic phono input of your amplifier. This unit is in exceptional cosmetic condition for a machine that is almost 57 years old. The metal motorboard features the original factory gold finish that is in excellent condition with just a few insignificant surface flaws. The brown bakelite case has no chips or cracks. Along with the case, the tone arm, turntable, spindle cap and power switch have been cleaned, polished, and buffed to a high gloss shine. Check the pics... classic! The motor and entire mechanism have been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted for like new performance. The original idler and drive cam are still soft and pliable with plenty of grip and provide steady, accurate speed and smooth record changes. The obsolete crystal pickup has been replaced with a brand new Stanton 500 V3 magnetic stereo cartridge bridged for mono playback. This cartridge has a high quality diamond stylus good for 1000+ hours of playing time. Load up to 15 of your favorite 45's including read more
