1952 LIONEL O-SCALE #2344T NYC EMD F3 NON-POWERED DIESEL A-UNIT ONLYA feature of this LIONEL O-SCALE #2344T NEW YORK CENTRAL GENERAL MOTORS ELCTRO-MOTIVE DIVISION F3 NON-POWERED DIESEL A-UNIT ONLY indicates it was probably manufactured by the Lionel Corporation in New York during 1952. Features of this non-powered A-Unit include: Highly detailed dark-gray molded plastic body shell with light-gray-painted lightning bolt scheme that includes white rubber-stamped detailing stripes; white heat-stamped lettering "BUILT BY" over "LIONEL" & "NEW YORK CENTRAL" on the sides; wire cloth ventilator on roof along with four simulated fans; open portholes with snap-in lenses, red & white NYC logo decal on lower front of body shell; white & black rectangular GM decal on lower part of rear door on both sides; two-piece ornamental horns; cab door ladders; window shell with simulated wipers in front; operating headlight with lens, illuminated number boards with engraved "2344" & interior illumination; black grab irons on nose; dark-gray-painted frame, pilot & super detailed truck side frames with steps; dual spring-loaded roller collectors on front truck, remote-operated coil knuckle coupler on pilot and die-cast metal fixed coupler at other end.
