*1953* BEAUTIFUL 221 Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine WHAT A BEAUTY I AM! Let me introduce myself! I am a 1953 221 Featherweight Singer sewing machine. My actual birthdate was March 4, 1953 and my serial # is EH894679. I have been around a long time and for my age I am a BEAUTIFUL lady with a lot of class! I am TRULY a “Treasured Reflection” of the past. Featherweights are Vintage machines because we were only made from 1933 until 1961. I don’t have a name – that is something personal between me and my new owner. I have been treated well throughout the years and this shows in the condition of my decals and paint finish. My chrome is bright and shiny and my paintwork has a superb, deep, rich ebony Featherweight glow. I do have a faint crazing but it is hardly noticable and My decals are perfect and bright. I do have a very tiny dent on my table towards the back there are very few pin scratches on me which is part of my history. My wheel DOES NOT have any dings or nicks. With these few faults I would rate myself as a -9 and my sewing capacity a 10. I sew extremely FAST for my age and have a beautiful stitch! I am a beautiful little work horse. I come with an assortment of vintage attachments listed below. I have been fully cleaned inside and out, serviced and sew tested by a true professional. Believe me – that cleaning and servicing felt SOOOO good! Every part of me was taken apart and cleaned and I feel like a new LADY. I now sew with speed and am quiet as a mouse. I have a good, solid, strong BRAND NEW carrying case with 2 keys in case you have need of them. An antibacterial sachet has been included to keep my case free of odors in the future. My case has been cleaned, buffed and shined (even though it is NEW) so I have a wonderful place to park when not in use. A new insert has been added for me to rest on so my weight doesn’t wear out my feet. I have 4 new feet and also a NEW Felt Drip Pad (Oh the other one was disgusting!). I have a BRAND NEW electrical receptical, foot pedal and extra long cord and light bulb. My belt was in good condition with many more years of use. The following will be included with me to help preserve me and keep me PRISTINE and serving you for many more years. ***YOU WILL NOTICE THE PICTURES WHERE THE MACHINE HAS BEEN DISASSEMBLED FOR CLEANING AND SERVICING. EVERY PART OF THIS MACHINE WAS SERVICED AND CLEANED AND READY TO USE. 1. Bags (I love red) for my cord and pedal of the foot control to keep them from scratching and scuffing me. 2. Bag for the buttonhole attachment to prevent me from being damaged from the case. 3. Cover for my wheel to protect me when putting me in and out of my case. 4. Protective embroidered table and lift table cover. This is an additional protection to keep foreign objects from scratching and dinging me up. A protective button has also been added to the faceplate screw to keep me from being scratched and dented. 5. Attachments which are an Adjustable Hemmer, Binder, Hemmer, Edge Stitcher, Buttonholer with 4 cams and a NEW ¼ inch foot (Vital for you Quilters). 6. Velcro tie to keep those cords together on my pedal cord. 8. A NEW bottle of machine oil with syringe to make it easier oiling. 9. 5 NEW bobbins and a tape measure 10. A CD with a copy of the Singer Adjuster’s Manual and Service Manual. Most important I have an Instruction Book for using me. This has detailed pictures on how to thread me, my bobbin and other vital information to keep us both happy. 11. Several samples of my beautiful straight stitch on different weights of fabric. I sew f rom fine organza to 6 layers of denim with no problems. 12. Laminated Certificate with your name and my Serial # and “Date of Birth”.
