1951-1954 VINTAGE FENDER TELECASTER PLEASE NOTE THIS LISTING HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH MORE ORIGINAL 1950s PARTS! The holy grail of Telecasters: authenticated by George Gruhn of Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville, TN (pictured) and 2 other authorities, one a former Fender Master Builder, the other a well-known Orange County luthier (the county where Fender was built back in the day). The neck of this Telecaster is in top notch condition showing barely any wear of any kind (unbelievable) and is from the mid 50's. The only issue with this pristine vintage neck is that it has an old clear refinish on it and the decal was replaced. Frets are perfect. Playability is fabulous as you can imagine. The vintage body has been stripped and sanded near the armrest. Original hardware includes the bridge which is also in exceptional condition, the bridge pickup (works) which is not installed, and comes with an updated one. The chrome dome knobs and control plate and pots are also original. The guitar was identified by the serial number on the bridge plate which, as it was explained, was chosen in a grab bag fashion at the factory; so there is no precise order for which to date this piece between the years of 1951 and 1954 except for the 1953 pickup. Winning bidder will also receive a copy of the authenticating document received from Gruhn Guitars of Nashville. read more
