Up for bid is an original Japanese tin 1953 Packard car made by Alps. The car measures 16.5" long (420mm) by 5” tall (127mm) and 7" wide (178mm), and comes without the original box. The car comes in a red color with black chassis stamped with the Alps trade mark. This is one of the all time rare and favorite Japanese tin cars, the car is in great condition as shown in the photos. The colorful lithographed interior is beautiful and adds a rich color contrast to the car. The car features extremely detailed and beautiful tin trim including headlamps, tail lamps, grill and side trim. The celluloid windows are in great original condition. There are a few minor scuffs and paint chips as shown in the attached photos. The base plate is original and the friction motor runs great. It appears that the passengers side headlight has been replaced along with the drivers side bumperette. Please send email with any questions.
