PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:This auction is for a 1953 tagged Vogues strung Ginny doll dress with matching bloomers. It is LUCY, #39 from the Tiny Miss series and is pictured on page 117 of the Collectors Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls by Izen and Stover, 2nd edition, purple cover. Green and white cotton fern print dress with a white organdy apron edged with lace. Hook and eye back closure with light rust. Crisp "Original Vogue Dolls, Inc." tag. Matching green and white fern cotton bloomers with elastic at the waist and legs. Elastic at the waist has been replaced and has nice stretch to it. Wonderful condition. Please read condition below and look at all of the photos as they are part of the description.CONDITION : No holes to the dress or bloomers. Color is vivid and bright on both pieces all the way around with no fading. White organdy apron is crisp with some yellowing on the backside bodice as shown in photos #5 & 6. No yellowing or stains on the rest of the dress. Fabric is crisp. The hook and eye of the dress in secure with some rust as shown in photo #7. Tag is well secured and crisp. The bloomers have a tiny spot on one leg edge as shown in photo #9. No other stains or yellowing. Elastic at the waist has been replaced and well done in my opinion. Elastic around the leg openings are a little stretched but stay up nicely on a read more
