~1954 PZH-Gouda Zoid Holland Pottery Bud Vase~ Listed is a bud vase pottery vase with a decorated black and white design outlined with gold trim. PHZ is short for Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland. I think Gouda and Zuid are geographical locations. The Royal pottery notation on the label shows it was made between 1950 to 1955. The date mark on the left side of the little house corresponds with the date of 1954. The top numbers on the mark is the model number. The initials to the right of the little house are the artist's initials and I can't tell of it's a W or a backwards Z that angles about 45% and the letter "I" (see image). The bottom of the foot of the vase is the only place w t is no glaze. The color of the clay is a cream color and not as yellow as the image below shows. The vase is in excellent condition with no damage or wear. It still has the green and gold label stuck to the side. The label reads, "Royal Pottery Zuid Holland Gouda". 99.9% of the gold trim is intact and not worn. No chips or cracks anyw It measures 6-1/8 inches tall x 3-1/4 inches wide.
