Piet Hein Wall Plaque Royal Copenhagen ~ Denmark ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vintage 1954 piece from Royal Copenhagen Denmark, a Piet Hein wall plaque. Piece measures 5.5" wide x 6.5" tall and is in excellent condition ~ glossy and bright, free of chips or cracks, with several minor glaze pops on the back side. Plaque is an example of a Piet Hein 'grook' for which he was well known. A grook is a short, aphoristic poem, accompanied by an appropriate drawing, revealing in a minimum of words and with a minimum of lines some basic truth about the human condition.The poem on this particular piece reads : "Living is a thing you do now or never-which do you?" The back side of the plaque reads Royal Copenhagen Denmark Fajance Piet Hein 1954 21-3713.Unique vintage piece - great gift or addition to a Hein 'grook' collection. Thanks for your interest!
