!!! AUTHENTICATED BY THE #1 EXPERT IN THIS FIELD !!! !!!!! THIS SET VERY RECENTLY EMERGED FROM THE ORIGINAL BUYER’S SAFE DEPOSIT BOX !!!!! At a recent major show, I was so pleased to buy this very meticulously stored unopened 1955 proof set. The selling dealer told me that he had just bought an old timer’s proof set collection, and that this was the last of a few unopened sets from the collection. Although I have gotten very good at detecting problems with these old sealed box proof sets, to be absolutely sure that it was strictly an original 1955 U.S. mint packaged set, I brought it straight to the table of the #1 expert in this field to get his nod before I wrote the check.
