1955 Walt Disney Wooden DAVY CROCKETT Guitar Fess Parker Orig Box Peter Puppet 1955 Walt Disney Wooden DAVY CROCKETT Guitar Fess Parker Orig Box Peter Puppet "SATURDAY'S TOYS Presents..." a spectacular collectible from the golden era of Walt Disney television... featuring Fess Parker as "Davy Crockett."The guitar remains in fantastic condition; minimally used. The box has absorbed any wear to this piece, though overall the box has still survived quite well over the past six decades. Originally provided to a childas a giftin 1957, the cardboard box retains the original graphicsas they were displayedin 1957. The original instruction booklet is included, though as with the colored decoration inside the box, there has been some prior wear to the paperfrom an insect during its years in storage (as shown). Even so, the museum worthy treasure still displays beautifully and is a sentimental reminder of the arrival of the "baby boom" generation.The box measures 26" x 13"; and the guitar still has its original guitar pick and the Davy Crockett / Fess Parker label near the tuners at the head of the guitar neck.The guitar also retains the burnished design on the face of the guitar; just as the day it was manufactured.Crafted by Peter Puppet Playthings, Inc. The company held an authorized Disney license from 1951 - 1955; and again in 1958. It
