THIS SET IS OUT OF PRODUCTION 1956, a time of rock & roll, baseball and Chevrolet. Eisenhower is re-elected President and Dr. Albert Sabin develops the oral polio vaccine. Elvis sings "Don't be Cruel" and "Blue Suede Shoes" and the Yankees defeat Brooklyn in the World Series. And Chevrolet continues to dominate the American Automobile scene. The cars in this set are beauties, and is quite significant they represent the final offering from Vickie's Gifts joining the Red '56 Lincoln Continental, . It is a complete UNOPENED 3-car set , one of only 750 ever made . Vickie's has Franklin Mint make some special changes to each of the 3 cars as described below. It features a '56 Bel Air Convertible painted white over light blue. Instead of the standard wheel discs found on the regular Franklin Mint issues, this car has the optional Wire Wheels. Next is a '56 Coupe. This one painted a striking Silver over Plum. The fender skirts have been removed, giving this car a much more realistic stance. Last is the '56 Nomad. This is painted gloss Black with Black and white interior. This is the only Nomad with Rally Wheels .
