Fordomatic FoMoCo Shop Manual for 1956 Ford Car-Truck, 64 pages. This manual contains complete service information for all Fordomatic transmissions used in the 1956 Ford Cars, Thunderbird, and Trucks. All procedures and specifications needed to check, adjust, replace or repair the various parts and assemblies of each transmission and torque converter are included. Procedures are often accompanied by illustrations showing the parts and operations being performed. Wherever special tools are needed to service a unit, illustrations show the use of the tools. Disassembled view of some transmission assemblies are also shown to aid in identifying the various parts and their relative position in the assemblies.The manual is divided into 7 chapters: Construction & Operation Maintenance & Adjustments Trouble Shooting R eplacement Transmission Overhaul Converter Overhaul Specifications and Tools.
