This is a license plate registration sticker that was issued by the California DMV for the year 1957. It was recovered from an obsolete license plate and is authentic. The original adhesive has been replaced by a piece of 3M double-face tape. You need just to remove the liner to expose the adhesive. If you have a 1957 model year car, truck, trailer or motorcycle and you want to register it in accordance with California's Year of Manufacture, YOM, program, you will need one of these stickers and a clear pair of 1956 license plate(s). Included but not shown is a copy of the DMV application form required to register vehicles for YOM use.
