Up for auction is a vintage Gibson ES-225 electric guitar. The ink stamped factory order number (FON) visible through the treble side F-hole is U9055 5 indicating 1957 . This is the single P-90 pickup model. This guitar is in "as found" condition. It needs work to be put back in playing condition. It is being sold as a project in "as is" condition with No Reserve . The tuners have been changed but t are no added mounting screw holes and the strap button on the back of the heel appears to be an old replacement. Everything else appears to be original including: finish, truss rod cover, nut, frets, pickup, pots, wiring, solder joints, knobs, bridge/tailpiece, everything. Finish is in good condition with normal nicks, dings, scratches, lacquer checking and wear but overall attractive. T is some flaking and heavier checking on the back of the neck. T is wear to the edges of the headstock (see photos). T is some separation at the heel and neck joint and someone has tried to re-glue it in the past (see photo). The neck joint will need to be reset or re-glued. T is also some slight separation on the lower side (treble side) along the edge of the binding. This is fairly minor and can be easily glued. T are no cracks or breaks and other than the issues already mentioned it is in solid condition. At some point t was an added strap button on
