1957 SCHWINN GIRL'S "SPITFIRE" BICYCLE ALL ORIGINAL - GREEN AND CREAM COLOR This auction item is a 1957 SCHWINN "SPITFIRE" GIRL'S BICYCLE. "ORIGINAL OWNER", this bicycle has all its original parts except the kickstand. Original Goodyear tires, original seat, original fenders, original paintjob, original handle bars. This bike is not perfect. But, kept in the basement since 1966, it has only gained a little rust and t The handle bar chrome can be polished up - t is a little pitting and a little rust. The cream-color rims need more cleaning and have some scuffs and t The fenders have a few scuffs and a few small dents. The seat is original and shows the typical signs of wear on the outside edges for a seat this type - open spring, black leather seat material. Needs new tires and possibly new tubes (haven't looked under the "Goodyears" yet not tried to pump 'em up.) All spokes present. Some wear on the pedals - it got a lot of miles put on it around town in the 50's and 60's. The frame is in great shape and the paint still shines! Chain guard is also in great shape. Local pick up OK, shipping can be arranged at a local bike shop. Shipping to be calculated using Buyer's address / Zip Code. Weight estimated to be 25 pounds, including shipping materials.
