1957 St. Louis Cardinals Larry Jackson Game Worn Flannel Jersey All Original.1957 St. Louis Cardinals Larry Jackson Game Worn Flannel Jersey All OriginalUp for auction is an authentic St. Louis Cardinals white flannel home jersey. This jersey is gorgeous for being 60 years old. This jersey was originally issued to the 5-time all-star pitcher, Larry Jackson, for the 1957 season. This jersey is all original and features beautiful Cardinal logo embroidery on the front of the jersey. Jackson's name is chain-stitched underneath the tag with the year tag underneath his name. The "X" after "57" on the tag means that this jersey originally started out as a back-up. 1957 was the first year that Larry Jackson made an all-star team and he pitched 2 scoreless innings in that years midsummer classic. The all-star game was held in St. Louis that year. Perhaps this jersey could have been the jersey Jackson wore during the 1957 all-star game. No way to know for sure about this. This jersey features nice wear with the inner armpit area featuring red staining probably from a red undershirt. The inside tail of the jersey also features a tag that states this is set 1 in 1957. This jersey was made by Rawlings. Please check out the photos for specifics and judge it for yourself as the photographed jersey is the exact one you will receive.
