This is a nice, This 1" x 7/8" contestants medal is from the 1957 World Championship of Golf. This PGA Tour event existed from 1946 to 1957 and was a player favorite for the considerable purse that dwarfed the other tournaments. Established by George May, the contest was held at the Tam O'Shanter Country Club, in Niles, Illinois. There is minimal surface, corner and edge wear.
