Minnijean Brown, 16 year old negro girl from Little Rock, Arkansas, shakes hands with her teacher, Mrs. Pauline Carpenter of Worcester, Mass., as she resumes her high school education at New Lincoln School today. Minnijean was expelled from Little Rock's Central High School. At right is Minnijean's 11th grade fellow student Yorke Mizelle, 17.Minnijean Brown-Trickey is an American political figure who was a member of the Little Rock Nine, a group of nine African American teenagers who integrated Little Rock Central High School. The integration followed the Brown v.
