Vintage 1959 MGM movie costume piece/prop from the epic film, "Ben Hur", a Macedonian battle helmet, the brown dome shaped leather like helmet with glossy painted finish, with metal chain mail, used in the famous battle scene where Charlton Heston is rowing on board the Roman ship and the Macedonians attack them, condition: as is, dents & abrasions overall, consistent with movie usage, from the local Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, estate of a gentleman who purchased it at the David Weisz Co. auction in California in 1971, has been in storage since 1971.
