This is a great old vintage black and white, 8 x 10, promo photo of the Ballerina, Irina Borowska. You can see the photography studio, Maurice Seymour NY, printed directly in the photo in the lower left corner. This was a very famous celebrity photo studio during that time, and became the preferred photographer of ballet dancers. This photo came from a local newspaper. Stamped on the back is Irina Borowska and Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo, Inc., which was a well known ballet company from the early 1930s to the late 1960s. This photo is hand dated 4-11-60. From what I can tell, Borowska seemed to be a pretty busy dancer from the mid 50s through the 1960s. This photo has no tears, but there is a staple hole in the top white border. The left lower corner has a bend/crack that goes into the photo in the signature area. There are some short cracks. This is a lovely photo of Borowska, and it is in great shape for a 51 year old original. I have described this photo as best as I can, but if you have any questions, please feel free to E-mail me.
