1960s SIGNED SAM McDOWELL CLEVELAND INDIANS GLOSSY T-ISSUED POSTCARD -- UN-MAILED ---- A signed 1960s team-issued Cleveland Indians pitcher ``Sam ``Sudden Sam'' McDowell, and nicely signed in blue ball point pen. Un-mailed, excellent plus condition. No creases sharp corners, clean back. A six-time all-star, McDowell pitched for the Indians (1961-71), SF Giants, NY Yankees in a career that spanned 1961-75 Had a career 141-134 record with 3.17 ERA and a 2,453 strikeouts. One of the best power pitchers on the 1960s and early 1970s. Little-known is that he was inspiration for the character Sam Malone on the long-running TV program ``Cheers''. Had a checkered career with alcoholism, but made a complete comeback, going back to college, getting his degree and became a consular Great looking team-issued card, nice autograph. Winner pays $3 postage. Card will be shipped in padded envelope with tracking.
