"VINTAGE" Uncle Arthur's "Bedtime Stories" 1960's Excellent condition!!! D E S C R I P T I O N Condition I purchased this 20-volume set of Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories brand new over 40 years ago. When the set was shipped to me, Volume#11 was slightly different in color than the other 19 books. I was told that when they put the sets together they choose from the books available at the time and that it probably was produced at a different time and had a different die coloring. I kept the book anyway as I wanted it. Since I am a particular person, I have kept these books in excellent condition (excepting for what is explained below when my grandchild got involved). I never let my children handle the books or play with them. They were kept in my library. I would read them to my children and let them see the pictures. I never wrote in the books, not even my name, except for in one book, Volume 5, which had the family name and is now covered over with a label. I have checked the books over. The only thing I found was what happened after my grandchild got into the books : There are 8 pages that my grandchild tore off the edges in Volume #19 (see the last picture in this listing) and there are 2 indentation marks on the cover of Volume #13 (see the last picture in this listing which shows these areas in these two books).
