You are bidding on a Vintage 1960’s Gibson's GA-20 RVT Amp. It is a 20 watt EL-84 powered combo with12" ceramic CTS speaker, reverb, and tremolo. Built only for a couple of years, the GA-20 or Minuteman as it's also known, are sometimes hard to come by. It's in good shape, does show some ware as you can see in the pictures. It turns on but makes a humming sound or buzz, I’ve been told it is a tube but I do not know have not had it check by professionals. T are seven tubes in it of different sizes. Under the fuse in the back the engraved number reads A027793. T are 9 control knobs and 1 power knob in the front. In order left to right the knobs are Loudness, Treble, Bass, Loudness, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Depth, & Frequency. The tag on the Amp from the music store, which it was gotten from 20 years ago or so, says “Gibson 1961 model $350.00 New Tubes” From what I have read I do not believe this is a 1961 but a 1966 because it seems that this model was only built in 1965 & 66 but I could be wrong so I am trying to give you all the info I have. Below you will find info that I found about the 1966 Gibson GA-20 RVT Minuteman 1966 Gibson GA-20RVT Minuteman: 3-6EU7, 2-12AU7, 2-6BQ5 (correspond to Epiphone EA-26RVT Electra) 1965/66 silver Control Panel (Coarse Black Tolex) Amplifiers II Speaker 12” Gibson Ultrasonic Inputs 2+2 Channels 2 read more
