***VINTAGE 1961 AMI JUKEBOX #XJHA-100*** My vintage 1961 AMI Lyric jukebox for sale, model #XJHA-100, serial number #620027, 115AC, 330W, Cycles 60. I believe t were less than 200 of these rare models made and it looks like this one was the 27th ever made of this model. In a little over 3 years this beauty will be 50 years old! This was the best and the last of the models made in '61 and is Automatic and Stereo. This unit has been sitting a long time but it is still in very good condition. It has some minor cosmetic flaws and t like all old jukes; some scratches on chrome or tarnish or t but nothing real bad - overall it looks very nice and displays great. It is a tad dirty from sitting but will clean up easily. This unit does work well but it could use some tweaking. It needs a new needle. The arm sometimes passes the record that it is supposed to grab but that should be an easy fix to calibrate, I think - most of the time it does grab the correct records though. This juke comes with 50 old records mostly from the 1950s and early 1960s (Beatles, Elvis, country, pop etc.) but some from the 70's. Most of the title strips seem to be from the 1970s. If you are interested in this jukebox then please bid EARLY. If I feel t is not enough interest in this item early-on I will be happy to close the auction and just keep the unit myself, so please bid early if you are interested. It looks like most everything is original, including probably 99.9% of the wiring - this unit has barely been tinkered with. All of the lights work. The arm grabs the records both odd and even. The coin selector lights up and functions properly for each of the three individual coin settings. The "owner" switch on the inside of the glass (that gives the owner 5 free plays at the push of a button) works fine. The inner 3-setting toggle switch works fine. The platter spins smoothly as does the carousel. All 11 track selector buttons work fine as does the coin return. The only thing I can see that does not work at all is the small counter, but that should be an easy fix. One of the four springs that hold the main unit afloat has come off but it functions fine with it off - it should be no problem putting the spring back on to make it perfect. This unit does come with 2 keys for the body and the money box. The solid wood part of the cabinet is excellent and looks beautiful. The metal part of the cabinet is very nice with some minor scratches and t The glass dome is nice but it does have some scratches on the top and t.. it has no cracks. The red belt that keeps the records from falling out of the carousel is in excellent shape. The tubes all work and are in good shape - I think some are original and I will add more details about that later. The original "Amplifier Controls" paper chart is still intact and in good shape. It also has a partial paper chart that has come loose that mentions how you should only attach 24 wall boxes to this unit etc. Again, please bid early or make me an offer early for a buy-it-now, because I wouldn't mind just holding on to this unit if need be. To tell the truth I do not know much about these (it was inherited) so please feel free to ask questions about things regarding this unit that I may have left out.
