This Limited Edition Model is OUT OF PRODUCTION “She’s Real Fine in my 409”… this was the theme of the early 60’s when Chevrolet literally owned the road with its big block 409-cid V-8. The 1962 Impala SS was impressive. It had style, grace and was it ever fast. This was the car to have in 1962. This may be the only 1:24 scale precision model of the 1962 Chevrolet Impala. West Coast Precision Diecast had upped the bar in model making and has challenged industry leader Danbury Mint for top spot and easily surpassed Franklin Mint in the precision diecast world. The hood opens on perfect scissor-spring hinges and you will find the famous 409 underneath, all wired and plumbed and sporting all the under-hood labels and even a correct throttle return spring. Nothing has been overlooked. Open the properly hinged doors and you will find Sun Visors that fold up and down, accurate seat belts and an operational console door. Outside, the fuel filler doors opens to reveal a perfect rendition of the gas cap. As an SS model, it has the bucket seats and console as well. Additional features include a working suspension, brake lines, fuel lines, transmission lines, a turning driveshaft, and all the proper suspension and steering pieces. Top it all of with special “SS” badging and industry exclusive removable wheel discs . 1962 was a great year read more
