You're bidding on a 1962 Fender Champ amp. Based on my research, the SN in in the 18000's , and therefore according to the chart, it's a 1962, 5F1. It's a great sounding little amp and undoubtedly used to record thousands of classic tracks from the 50's, 60's, 70's and on. This is a classic. I've played it several times and it really nails the old blues and rock sound, perfect with a Tele. or Strat., nice harmonics, nice breakup at 4-5 on the volume.Nail's the Stones sound (think Can't you hear me knockin' or The Faces "Stay with Me" ) & some Crowes sounding stuff. Perfect home amp, studio amp, recording amp.Might hang with a quiet drummer, otherwise, it would need to be mic'ed up for a gig or rehersal. Nevertheless, fine tones. I can see why it was used on the Layla album. Enough of the sound description - if you're reading this, you already know that it's a cool sounding amp. I'm not an expert on vintage amps. Looks to be all original except the leather handle, and there's a Vintage Utah 60's replacement speaker in there. Circuit looks to be untouched. Please take a look at the pictures. No returns. Not sure on the history. I'm selling this only because I need to thin the herd and raise some funds. I get a little bit carried away with the amount of gear I accrue. I planned on changing this to a 3 prong cord, and keeping this amp
