For sale is the 1962 Geologic Guide to the Gas and Oil Fields of Northern California, put together by the California Division of Mines and Geology, Bulletin #181. This appears to be the complete geological report. This survey looks like it covers California as far south as the Santa Cruz mountains, up the coast beyond Pt. Reyes, as far north as Redding, east to the Sierra foothills, and south down through the Sacramento Valley and into San Joaquin Valley. The report consists of the 412 page hardcover book filled with text, graphs and charts, maps, and photos; a manilla envelope with a list of maps and plates that are included in the packet(see photo above), which appear to be all there; a gray and white cardboard binder; and the slipcase that holds it all. The book itself is in very good condition with a bit of fading to the covers; a small chip to the upper front of the spine cover; a couple of fingerprints at the top of the first blank page; a bit of edge/corner bumping to the covers. No loose, torn, missing pages; no unwanted writing, notations, bookplate. The binder is in very good + condition with the covers being just a tad dirty. The slipcase is a bit dirty; moderately rubbed and faded; solid on all corners and joints. The maps and plates appear to be complete and in very, very good condition. No tears that I saw or unwanted
