1963 San Francisco Giants vs. New York Mets Program Candlestick Park, July 23 Final score - Giants 9 - Mets 1 28 pages, lineups noted in ink (players' uniform numbers) and unscored. Excellent condition. Tight binding and strong spine with no splits. Light crease down the center. There are four tape spots on the corners of the back cover. 1963 San Francisco Giants program - This is a terrific Giants from 1963 from a Tuesday evening game in late July when they hosted the New York Mets. The visitors had the daunting task of facing Giants ace Juan Marichal, who limited the Mets to a run and four hits. New York's star-crossed Roger Craig was saddled with yet another loss. Marichal improved to 16-5 on the season, while Craig's record dropped to 2-17. Offensively, the "Say Hey Kid," Willie Mays was the story for San Francisco, belting a pair of homers and knocking in three runs. Jim Davenport also knocked in a pair of runs for the Giants. The program is in very nice shape and includes a photo and feature on catcher Ed Bailey, who was saluted as the "Giant of the Month." There's also a team photo of the '62 NL Champion Giants.
