For sale tonight I have a 1964 Proof Set in a plastic holder. The Kennedy Half Dollar is the scarce accented hair variety, which has a "v" or wishbone shape in the hairline, and truncated bottom left serif of the "I" in LIBERTY. The obverse is very nice with no milk spots. There is one milk spot on the reverse. This is common with the accented hair Kennedy, as the planchets were not rinsed off completely, and soap residue was left behind. The Kennedy Half Dollar looks much better than the photographs indicate. The half has very deep mirrors and a light cameo reverse. Supposedly, Jackie Kennedy requested the half dollar be changed early in 1964 because she did not like the design in J.F.K.'s hair. I have priced this coin and set very reasonably at $40.00 . Shipping is USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation and insurance for $3.00. Thank you for taking the time to look at my listing!
