May in Chicago yesterday. Kay originated the Rudolph story 25 years ago as a sales gimmick for Montgomery Ward, a mail order house. The story went over big and in 1949, songwriter Johnny Marks wrote the famous Rudolph song which has been popular ever since. 1964 . Photo is 10� x 8� in size.
